With an aim to apply best practices for the agroforestry demonstration plot at the forest management unit in Kapuas Hulu, the forest management unit KPH Kapuas Hulu Timur, supported by FORCLIME, conducted a training on coffee cultivation from the 24th to 26th November 2020 in Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan. This coffee training is in line with the establishment of a nursery at the resort of the KPH Kapuas Hulu Timur. Twenty-one Participants joined the training, attended by field facilitators of local organizations and some farmers. Participants received information on coffee cultivation from the ASF, a research centre based in Jember, East Java.
The Head of Bahenap village said, “Training with practice like this is effective, so that participants understand how to apply the gained knowledge instead of only theory in the seminar”.
After the training the KPH Kapuas Hulu Timur gave out seeds to participants. So there is not only knowledge taken home but also high quality coffee seeds.
