The Sebijak Forestry Institute (University of Gajah Mada) together with FORCLIME organize an online course on "Forest and Nature Conservation: Achieving Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs). This activity aims to provide understanding on the role of forests and natural resource conservation in achieving the sustainable development agenda. In addition, the course is developed based on the lessons and learning process of FORCLIME phase 3 implementation (2017-2020). The online course will be conducted in two batches, 19 – 21 January and 26 – 28 January 2021 covers six topics, namely: Introduction on sustainability on forests and SDGs; Climate change and conservation in global development discourses; Forest conservation – biodiversity and environmental services; Forests roles in poverty alleviation; Improving HR capacity at forestry sector; Forest policy in achieving SDGs.
The webinar event is also available for public, however, only 40 participants for the online course that should follow the following requirements: University students; Has commitment to follow all of training subjects. While for webinar participants have be university student of any subject and select one of the topics.
