The Training Center for Environment and Forestry in Makassar (BDLHK Makassar), the Vocational Forestry School of Makassar (SMKK Makassar) and FORCLIME held a recent discussion in Makassar on 7 February 2023 which introduced a number of developed draft syllabuses for forest inventory training. This meeting resulted in Ir. Iwan Setiawan, M.Pd., the main lecturer (Widyaiswara utama) in forest planning at BDLHK Makassar, offering to prepare a three-day training session on forest inventories, which will be held in April 2023.

After the teachers have finalized the details of this training, they will be able to commence teaching the students at SMK Kehutanan and practice their knowledge of forest inventory within the Training and Education Forest of Tabo-Tabo. During this training activity, the school will be simultaneously inventorying the Tabo-Tabo forest and collecting important data on tree species and tree combinations.
