The Ministry of Forestry, through the Center of Forestry Education and Training (CFET) in collaboration with GIZ FORCLIME, organized a Workshop on “Strengthening the Implementation Plan of Competence Based Learning (CBL)” in Bogor on August 27th, 2013. Through this activity FORCLIME supports Human Capacity Development in the forestry sector.
The main objective of the workshop was to build a common understanding of the CBL concept. The workshop was attended by 35 officials and lecturers representing the CFET, the Forestry Training Centers (BDK) in Bogor and Samarinda and the Center for Planning and Development of Human Resources in the Ministry of Forestry (Pusrenbang SDMK). Two consultants, funded by FORCLIME, conducted the workshop, which was facilitated by Edy Marbyanto, FORCLIME’s Strategic Area Manager for Human Capacity Development.
In his opening speech, the Head of CFET welcomed this positive activity that is in line with the CFET programme for CBL development, which currently focuses on designing Standards for Competence-Based Technical and Administrative Training in the Forestry Sector (Standar Diklat Teknis dan Administrasi Berbasis Kompetensi Jabatan Kehutanan, Stadita Kombatan).
Many of participants were very interested in the topic and expressed their enthusiasm to be involved in the subsequent Training of Trainers (ToT) for CBL that will be conducted from 2nd to 6th of September 2013.
