During Berau Expo, which was held due to the celebrations of the Berau district 60 years anniversary, FORCLIME together with the Forest Management Unit of Berau Barat (Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan Model Berau Barat) displayed the implementation and achievements of their collaborative activities. The 60 years anniversary celebration also commemorated the 203 years anniversary of the capital city of Berau district, Tanjung Redeb.  The expo was held from 14th to 21st of September 2013 in Tanjung Redeb. Exhibitors of the expo came from technical units of the local government, the private sector, and from small and medium-sized enterprises.

Berau is one of FORCLIME’s pilot districts in East Kalimantan. Among recent activities conducted by FORCLIME in Berau was, for instance, a survey about the socio-economic situation of communities in the surroundings of the KPH Model Berau Barat.
