The Provincial Forest Service of East Kalimantan conducted a three-days coaching clinic for Forest Management Units (Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan-KPH) in the province on 30 October – 2 November in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Out of 21 FMUs in East Kalimantan, nine have developed their management plan, while the rest are still on the process. Representatives from the remaining 12 KPH participated the coaching sessions. The event was held in collaboration with the regional forest planning of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, GIZ and Global
On his speech, the Head of Provincial Forestry Service said that East Kalimantan set the target to have all management plan of KPHs completed and endorsed by The Ministry of Environment and Forestry by the first semester of 2018.
