The Lore Lindu National Park organized a focus group discussion with its project partners (UNDP project, Forest Programme, GIZ) on developing an ecotourism masterplan on 9 January in Palu, Central Sulawesi. The discussion aimed to collect input related to working on a planning document for ecotourism development at the Lore Lindu National Park.
During the discussion, the participants agreed to extend the scope of the masterplan to the Lore Lindu Biosphere Reserve, since the national park is the core zone of the biosphere. Additionally, the developed masterplan is to be linked to other tourist destinations in Central Sulawesi. Therefore, they suggested to incorporate the discussed document with the province’s tourism development master plan (Rencana Induk Pengembangan Pariwisata Daerah- RIPPDA).
