The Directorate of Protected Forest Management Unit (KPHL) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF), supported by FORCLIME, conducted  a workshop to finalize its Long-term Forest Management Plan (RPHJP) on 25-26 July 2018 in Putussibau, West Kalimantan. The meeting also aimed to harmonize the management plan with programme activities of organizations working in Kapuas Hulu district, particularly FORCLIME. 30 participants representing relevant government services of Kapuas Hulu district, the Planning Bureau of  MoEF, technical units of  MoEF in West Kalimantan,  KPH Kapuas Hulu Selatan and  KPH Kapuas Hulu Timur.

The Director of KPHL, Mr Hargyono, MSc., encouraged  KPH Kapuas Hulu Utara to finalize its forest management plan after the workshop quickly. As a consequence, the Verification Team of the MoEF can assess the document and issue the approval.

The final agenda of the workshop is a field visit on the 2nd day to the KPH Kapuas Hulu Utara working area: Learning Center of Village Forest at Mensiau village and land rehabilitation site.
