2019 07 12 anti korupsi event

Two GIZ implemented programmes, the Forests and Climate Change Program (FORCLIME) and program on Assistance in Preventing and Combating Corruption (APCC), in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Education Centre of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a discussion on identifying competency requirements related to anti-corruption for Forest Management Units (KPHs). The meeting was carried out on July 12, 2019 in Jakarta and was attended by 35 participants representing related units of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, KPH representatives, representatives of the Anti-Corruption Education Center, KPK, thematic experts, thematic researchers and thematic experts of APCC and FORCLIME. The meeting aimed to: 1. Identify points of vulnerabilities to corruption within business processes at KPH; 2. Identify the needs for more knowledge, skills and attitude about anti-corruption measures by KPHs; 3. Identify suitable training methods for anti-corruption material for KPHs.

In his remarks, the Head of the Anti-Corruption Education Center - KPK expects such collaboration between the Anti-Corruption Education Center - the KPK and the Training Center of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and GIZ will be continuously improved to support the generation of human resources with integrity in the future. Meanwhile, forestry expert, Dr. Hariadi Kartodihardjo, stated that the development of integrity and anti-corruption attitudes needs to be expanded and training should be given to other stakeholders in the forestry sector, such as in the Forestry Services, within the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, in the private sector, and others. At the end of the discussion, participants accomplished in identifying points which are vulnerable to corruption in the KPHs. In addition, participants identified the anti-corruption competencies needed by KPH personnel. The results of this discussion will form the basis of an anti-corruption training module developed by a joint team from APCC, FORCLIME and the Anti-Corruption Education Center - KPK.
