Aiming to improve the competence of developing publications at local forestry agencies, the Environment and Forestry Education and Training Center (BD LHK) of Makassar together with FORCLIME and the Satu Dunia Foundation conducted a training on Effective Writing on 11-14 November 2019 in Makassar, South Sulawesi. The 15 participants represented the Bogor Environment and Forestry Training Center, the BD LHK of Makassar and the BD LHK of Samarinda and the Provincial Forestry Services of Kalimantan (east, west, north).

During the training, participants obtained information and knowledge about effective writing techniques for articles and press releases, designing publication content, basic photography practices, and designing promotional material. On the last day, participants visited the Rammang-rammang tourism area and Bantimurung National Park. After the visit, the participants will write an article related to the visited sites, as a condition to acquire the training certificate.
