Aiming to improve capacity of forest officials in Central Sulawesi, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry through the Directorate of Planning and Establishment of Forest Management Areas (RPPWPH) conducted a technical meeting to assist on operating and updating a new spatial information system related to forest management units (Sinpasdok KPH) on 2 – 3 October 2019 in Palu, Central Sulawesi. Sinpasdok KPH+ is an application for managing and updating data related to the operations of forest management unit (Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan-KPH). This data management is undertaken by KPH, additionally, it is controlled at central level. The event, supported by GIZ, was attended by 50 participants representing forest management units (KPH), provincial forestry services and technical implementation units of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
During the technical meeting, participants also obtained information about the revised national forestry plan 2011-2030 (RKTN 2011-2030), which to be used as a reference for preparing forest plan at province level, including at KPH.
